Captain Chuck Jenks
Hi, I'm Captain Chuck Jenks. I operate Florida Backcountry Charters and offer my clients the absolute best inshore tarpon and backcountry flats fishing found in Southwest Florida. I am fully licensed and insured. I currently run two different boats. I have a 2003 custom low tide flats boat powered by a Yamaha HPDI V-max which offers a smooth quick ride but also a shallow draft to fish extremely shallow areas. I'm also sponsored by Champion Boats. I run a current year 22 foot bay boat powered by a 250HP Evinrude E-TEC motor. Currently that boat is used for tournament and tarpon fishing. The Champion offers a large fishing platform and extra freeboard to handle the summer storms that pop up on a daily basis.
I pride myself on being not only a top notch fisherman but a top notch instructor. I love to teach people the proper etiquette as well as the proper techniques to successfully fish the waters of Charlotte Harbor, Pine Island, and Boca Grande. Over the last 10 years I have developed patterns on our local gamefish such as tarpon and snook that make all of my trips today a success. I believe as a guide I have a responsibility to my clients to provide a safe and relaxing day on the water. Never will I lose my temper toward one of my clients. As a client paying for a day of fishing you deserve that.
